Heyy, its Louu!
So, it’s Mental Health Awareness Week!! And so many people have been raising awareness for it in their own ways, some people have been positing their own personal experiences, others have been doing drawings, paintings and just expressing themselves, in their own creative ways.
One of the ways I’ve been seeing a lot recently is make-up. Lot’s and lot’s of girls on Instagram have been creating their own amazing looks, with make up. How they have done it, I don’t know. I don’t think I have enough of the skill it takes to make any make up look good. (That, and Im more creative with the paints, pencils and things like that)
One person I do think you should check out is HannahMake-Up
She is AMAZING at what she does, and sometimes, I don’t think that she gets enough recognition for it. She may have over 54k followers, but, with Instagram algorithm and everything else, not a lot of people get to see her posts. But, I insist, she is REALLY good.
She has done ^^this^^ post for Mental Health Awareness Week.. I think it would be good for a lot of people to be able to see it, as it has a good story behind it. She also suffers some Mental Health conditions too, so understands how important it is to raise awareness about Mental Health and bring down the stigma surrounding it.
Now, I don’t try to, nor have I ever tried to give anyone any advice to understand every single condition there is out there, as there are so so many, and I don’t think everyone can understand every single Mental Health Condition, but, I hope this blog post can help someone speak out and try to help themselves in one way or another.
As the saying goes…
‘IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY’ and its true. It really IS okay not to be okay. If everyone was okay or ‘fine’ all the time then the would would be a dull place of people who were all the same and nothing ever happened of any interest to anyone.
‘The formula of happiness and success is just being actually YOURSELF, in the most vivid way you possibly can’
– Meryl Streep –
I don’t know if there is anything else I can really mention, other than, there ARE helplines out there for people to access. There ARE plans that can be put into place to help you get better.
No body expects you to get better over night but there is help out there.
Samaritans – Samaritans are always available 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. Nothing is too much for them. They’re there to listen to you if you feel like you can’t speak to anyone else.
Time To Change – This website does have a fair few helplines you can access, and a lot of advice on what you can do to access the help that is out there for you.
Anyhow, Thats all for now.
Be Happy, You Do You…
