Colder Temperatures and Facebook Groups..

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-8

Heyy… it’s Louu!!

So! I just want to start off by saying sorry! Sorry for not writing a blog post yesterday, I just don’t know what happened.. It got to like 9pm and I just fell asleep.. (must have been tired! Haha!) Anyway, nothing much exciting happened, well, apart from going for a meal with my mum and sister.. Apart from that, it was a pretty boring day!

Blog Picture

(Quick side note; I know I look like I’ve just been to the gym, but in actual fact, the leggings were the only ones I could find in a rush, Haha!)

Now, back to today, I had to go to a hospital appointment with my nephew, I’m not going to go into detail on here, but, I’ll just say, He’s fine! and I couldn’t be happier about that fact!

In other news, the temperature has gotten a lot cooler in England today! Which is good! I mean, there’s not as many people moaning about the temperature anymore… I don’t understand it with people in England (just to put it out there, I am in no way targeting anyone in England who moans all the time. I’m just generalising) People in England decide to moan when its ‘too hot’ and when its ‘too cold’ so, you can’t really win! Haha!

Also, in this blog, I was wondering if you lovely lot would do something for me. My friend has a ‘Mental Health’ group on Facebook, and I wondered if you could go and join it (I think you can join if you have any sort of Mental Health issue, or just want help people in the group)

About the group: This is a group for those who suffer with mental health, or for those who care/ look after those with mental health (family/friends/partners) and to help raise awareness, discuss feelings, make new friends, have a safe place to chat with others who understand, etc.  – Parris ~ Head Admin

Mad Meetings and More..

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-7

Heyy.. it’s Louu!!

Today was good! Haha, it was quite a bit cooler, so it was quite a bit more bearable for people haha! Although to say that it was ‘Cooler’ today, it was still too warm to have the meetings I had to go to today. The room was far too warm, haha!

Being stuck in a room for between 4-5 hours isn’t the ideal situation to be in, but, I suppose the windows give some needed breeze in the heat.. haha!

In other news, I think things are looking up for me! I mean, I’m not going into detail on here, but I suppose all that’s all you need to know. I’m happy and things are finally starting to look up for me right now. IM SO HAPPY! (I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging, but, I AM just really happy! haha!)

Life just seems great right now, I just have so many reasons to smile at the moment!

Never ending heat and New Love..?

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-6

Hey.. it’s Louu!!

Well, todays been a scorcher! 32 degrees! As I said the other day, am I really in England?! Haha!

In these past couple of days, it’s been a complete scorcher over 30 degrees, we’re not used to it in this country! But the thing is, with most people here, they moan when it’s too hot, but then when it rains and the temperature gets lower, they moan its too cold. (Just can’t win with people here! Haha!)

Anyway, on another note… I.. have a new love in my life, and, well.. Im really happy with him.. He’s understanding and loving and knows how to make me happy.. so, I guess its just a win win situation. Haha!

They say the heatwave in the UK is going to last a couple more days, so, I guess there’s only going to be more moaning from people saying they’re ‘too hot’

Fathers Day Fail?

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-5

Heyy.. it’s Louu!!

Well, todays fathers day in the UK, and seemingly everyone was celebrating with their fathers, or fathers-to-be. It was a good day! Although, it felt like we were abroad today, I think it got up to 30 degrees!

In other news, It was my mums birthday today as well. So I guess it was a double celebration in a way. Celebrating two events in one day makes for a very expensive weekend! Haha!

Although, I will admit, I forgot my dad’s present when we went out for a meal. That was kind of embarrassing! But, everyone makes mistakes I guess.

This blog won’t be as long as the others because I didn’t do much today as it was far too hot to do anything.. but, I hope you all had a good day whatever you did today.

Be Happy, You Do You

(p.s. just a little side note, sorry this is late. I had so much trouble with my internet and it wouldn’t let me upload anything so, I suppose its only a couple of minutes late! haha. -Posted 00:02 19/06)

Sun, Smiles and Sweets.

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-4

Hey… its Louu!!

Am I even in England today?! I mean, its 27 degrees! How is that possible? That’s NOT the norm for England! Ever! However! I’m not complaining, at all! The sun just makes you feel happy, and you can get out and about without worrying about getting soaked to the skin!

Today started great! Sun was shining, birds were singing, and my music was playing as I got dressed (and no, this isn’t the start to some sort of novel that I’m writing. this is just what happened at the start of my day) I then went out to go and see my grandparents, because, it’s Fathers Day tomorrow in the UK and so me and my mum went to my Grandparents house to give my Grandad his presents a day early. (as I won’t be able to get down to his house tomorrow)

But, he didn’t seem to mind getting presents a day early, haha! Who would!? Haha!

We decided to go to a café when we left their house. That didn’t last long, the people in there weren’t very helpful at all and didn’t seem very interested.. So, don’t think I’ll be going there anymore.

I would just like to point out that I am in no way trying to put this café down, or trying to make people not go to this café I’m just writing my day, and this is what happened.

I’m now relaxing, inside because of the heat, (it’s still BOILING hot!) and with this as my view…

Not amazing, but I like it. It relaxes me…

Stressed, But well dressed.

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-3

Heyy… it’s Louu!!

You know those days where you just want to sit down, relax, and have an ice cream? Yeah, that’s me today!

But, from the title of this you’re probably thinking its just me being big headed and wanting to tell everyone about a perfect life I have. It’s NOT anything like that, I assure you that. It’s mainly to do about me just having a stressful day, and wanting to just get into bed and not get out again for a good while (But we all know that’s not going to happen!)

The day started off pretty normally, I guess. I got up (because I was babysitting, again!) and then it all just got more and more stressful, and there comes a point where you’re just so done with it all that you just need to get out of the place for a while and take a few deep breaths before you say something you regret. My day didn’t come to that conclusion, in fact, it came to quite the opposite.. Theres sometimes where you become so stressed that you just cry.. yep… >>>> Me Today <<<< But, there’s not much you can do. Not really.. So.. yeah, haha!

I suppose I can’t complain about everything because not everything about today has been bad, I mean the sun was shining for a start! It was warm, and I got to see my nephews.. So, I guess what you can take from this, is there’s always something good to come out of something bad. No matter how bad it seems to be.

Now, the title of this blog, I bet you’re thinking, ‘This has nothing to do with the blog itself’ Well, it kind of does in a way.. well.. the first part anyway, haha! I mean, I got the inspiration from a shirt I bought from Peacocks, it has cold shoulders and its long and flowy and I just love it. I’ll insert a picture below.

‘Stressed But Well Dressed’

I just kinda think it fits! In some weird way. The text on this t-shirt works for the title of this post on so many levels haha!

I now plan to sit down and do nothing, like I’ve wanted to do for the whole day.

Safe Online?

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.-2

Heyyy…. it’s Louu!

I don’t understand when people meet someone online, and instantly agree to go and meet this person, not only is it dangerous but its down right scary! You don’t know anything about this person, or who they are.. (hopefully you understand what I mean here?) I mean, (I’m going to use a typical example now) this person could tell you they’re an 18 year old boy, they’ll talk to young girls and convince these girls to meet up with them, and they’ll turn out to be a 50 year old. The result..? The girl, if worst comes to worst, ends up being raped and potentially killed.. that’s the scary part.

That’s why people always, always, ALWAYS go on about childrens safety online, and about how old a child should be before you let them have their own phone, or their own tablet.

The internet can be a scary and nasty place sometimes, and, theres only so much you can do to keep your child safe when they go online. On the other hand, its not just our children that we need to keep safe online, us, ourselves could become a victim of an ‘online groomer’ as some people call it. So really, is anyone completely safe these days? I mean, as long as you’re weary of what you do, and what you post I guess its okay, but theres far too many ways that people slip up. Especially people who post pictures of their children online.

Now, I’m going to talk stereotypical now and go on about ‘Facebook’ because that, a lot of the time, seems to be the place that a lot of people get caught out. As I said before, people posting pictures of their children on THEIR OWN Facebook pages can get caught out.

Most of the time it’s people who have ‘Friends’ on Facebook that they don’t know. That’s kind of where the problem starts, because you don’t know who that person is behind that  profile. The pictures get into the wrong hands and it all goes from there.

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading

Babysitting Babies and Book Reading.

Hey… it’s Louu!!

Well, today’s been… hectic… if thats how you want to describe it! I played babysitter today.. and that comes with it’s own challenges, keeping them entertained, making sure they’re fed etc. That’s where my *AHEM* planning skills come into play! NOT!

Children somehow are able to find so many different ways to keep you amused and entertained so, I suppose you don’t really have to keep them entertained. You just have to make sure that they don’t hurt themselves while they’re getting up to as much mischief as they can! And, as for the feeding part of the day, well, isn’t that just a barrel of laughs. First off, choosing what they want to eat, and everything you suggest, they turn down! It becomes a bit like a battle of the wits. You know, see who gives in first! (and you know it won’t be them!) So, in the end you just, somehow, make a compromise. Something along the lines of, ‘if you have the food I choose for you then you can have ice cream afterwards’ (it usually works!)

Seriously though, looking after children is super super fun, most of the time. So, I guess you just have to enjoy it while you can, and not let them get to you.. they somehow know just the right time, and know just the right buttons to press to annoy you just enough so you’re on the verge on yelling. And then, they just stop.. laugh and go back to being the little angels that they are when you have company round!

Anyhow, see you tomorrow!

Be happy, you do you

Heyy… it’s Louu!!

Now, I know this wasn’t posted yesterday, but, it was my birthday yesterday, so I didn’t have much time to write anything much. Now I’ve finished this post, I’ve decided to post it. It’s just a little something I wanted to write about, and thought that it would be interesting for a couple of others too, so, enjoy..

Anxiety? What does it actually mean? There’s often a lot of stigma around Anxiety, and what the symptoms and treatments are….

Often, people have a hard time understanding Anxiety as it’s a Mental Illness, it cannot be seen! It doesn’t have physical symptoms. From my personal experience, people treat Mental Illness as if you’re an Alien or some sort of Animal. You’re not! You’re definatly not!

You’re amazing and perfect and I’m so so proud of you, each and every-one of you for fighting everyday. Fighting to strive.. to have a normal life. To get rid of those fears you have

There are so many different types/strengths of Anxiety. (if they’re even the right words to describe it!) You’ve got the sort most people, if not everyone gets, which is feeling slightly scared of doing something (you know the feeling? Heart pounding slightly, nervous giggles?) That’s because your body produces Adrenaline, (only a small amount) and that’s the thing that makes your heart race that little bit.

Then, at the other end of the scale is feeling so scared to do something that you end up having a Panic Attack. There’s still the part of your body producing that Adrenaline but, it produces too much and that, in turn induces a ‘fight or flight’ response in your body. And, 9 times out of 10, your body chooses flight. And, you run away from the ‘scary’ situation and start to panic and cry… (you know, chest feels tight, you can’t breathe properly, and often feel like you’re going to die) A lot of the time, you won’t. In fact, all of the time, you won’t. You’re not going to die from a Panic Attack. They’re scary, I get that. But, you WILL NOT DIE. I honestly do mean that.

There are lots of different ‘treatments’ for Anxiety. Most doctors offer you some sort of drugs to relax you and even out your mood. Others just offer Councilling. And, if i’m honest, you just have to find the right treatment that works for you, because not everyone is the same…

People shouldn’t be scared to understand Mental Illness, It’s more common that people think. So, just because it can’t be seem doesn’t mean it’s not there.

I don’t think everyone is going to understand Mental Illness, but a little more awareness would be nice.

Always here to lend an ear.

Be happy, you do you.

You don’t like me? Neither do i…

Heyyy… it’s Louu!

Now, this isn’t the post you think this is. It’s not a self hate post.. not really.

You’d think that, from the title, wouldn’t you? No, this is about learning to love who YOU are! People don’t do enough of that anymore, no body likes to believe anyone when they tell you that YOU ARE gorgeous! or that YOU ARE good enough. This can be for a multitude of things.. I’ll give you an example…

Year 9 in School. The year in which you and your mind are changing your so quickly and you spend a lot of the time, confused and stressed. At the end of of the year you have to choose your ‘options’ and you may have or may not have started your period.. Well, imagine all that, with constant bullying going on. Day in, Day out. Stressful right?

I totally understand that, lots of people go through it in some form throughout their school life. That’s where my point is really. Young people getting put down, day in and day out that, at some point in their lives, they don’t like to or don’t choose to listen to the positive things people say about them, and thats sad, because everyone deserves to feel good about themselves! Even if its just a little bit, at least its something!

All too often, it causes teens (and adults, sometimes) to develop depression. Now, don’t get me wrong, that’s not the whole reason, it could be, but often its just one of the many weights that join together and form this constant barrier in your mind between what you want to believe and what you actually believe and 9 times out of 10 our own reality becomes warped and we let it take over. No one should have to feel like that, EVER!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (aha, Girls Aloud quote) if anyone needs to talk, I’m here to lend an ear, just ask for any of my social medias.

Be happy, you do you..

Lou.. x
